MissionMy mission is to help clients adopt mindful food choices and habits that support good health, happiness, physical fitness, and independence.
How do I do this?Nutrition coaching is a joint effort. You are the expert of your own life. I am here to guide you toward your ideal self. I use various in-depth assessments to learn about your health status, lifestyle, resources, and vision. As we get to know one another, I will apply evidence-based nutrition and behavior change principles to make recommendations that support your goals.
We start with a free consultation to discuss your dieting history, health status, values, goals, and expectations for coaching. Next, I will learn about your day-to-day, your diet and your relationship with food. Together, we will brainstorm practical adjustments that suit your resources and lifestyle. There will be no elimination diets, cleanses, or detoxes of any kind.
Once your goals are established, we will focus on building habits, not just outcomes. I will make suggestions for new behaviors that are tailored to your physical activity level, social life, taste preferences, culture, and resources. I will frequently monitor your progress and adjust plans as needed. Finally, I will be there every step of the way to support and guide your journey.
Health and wellness are a journey, and there should be no finish line! But you won't need nutrition coaching forever. After you master your goals, we can set new ones or groom you for independence. We can adjust your accountability and reward systems and structure your life in a way that supports ongoing health once your nutrition coaching is done.
